Removing Products with Price Code of P

This topic is intended for Independent pharmacies only and is not applicable to Rexall pharmacies.

As part of a Price Code change, pack sizes with a Price Code of P that meet all of the following conditions will no longer be visible in the Drug Folder:

  • On Hand = 0

  • On Order = 0

  • Owe Amount = 0

  • Not a centrally maintained pack size

Setting a New Default Pack Size

If a removed pack size was set as the Default, a new Default pack size will be chosen based on the following hierarchy:

  1. The pack size with the greatest On Hand value

  2. The smallest pack size that is monitored

  3. The smallest pack size that is centrally maintained

For example, if no pack sizes had an On Hand value, then the smallest pack size flagged as Monitor will be chosen as Default.

Removing Pack Sizes for Mixtures

If the product that was removed was used in a mixture, a new pack size must be selected for the ingredient. A prompt will appear indicating this requirement when filling a prescription for the mixture, creating a new mixture, or saving the mixture.
